Touchables

We have noticed that certain frames tempt shoppers to touch
them! At the last craft fair, these were the "most touched"!
This bergundy frame has super wide grosgrain ribbon fabric.
This frame has brown fabric with stitched embroidery.

This is a wood frame with grooves. We weren't quite
sure why it was one of the touchables....

This frame was sold last season, but it was often touched before
it sold. It is white ceramic, and the blue flowers are painted on.
(Can you tell one of the things we enjoy about craft fairs is observing the people?!)

First Fall Craft Show 2008

We are off to a good start on the fall craft shows! We enjoy this one, partly because it is pretty close to home. The weekend went well for us, and we enjoyed it.

Here is my main PR lady, my sister. She does a great job of arranging and restocking the notecards and bookmarks.
.

In the background of this picture, there is a white covered cart
and some red/white enamel ware. They were on the table
of our neighbor, the "Pantry Peddler....a taste of the prairie"
We really enjoyed getting acquainted with Bekki,
and bought her cookbook, along with
mixes for borscht, and a few other things...
here is the site for Bekki and her sister.
p.s . another of our craft fair friends, Sonja of "Sonja's Old-
Fashioned Delicacies" will be featured in the Dec/Jan issue
of Country Woman. She told us they have a circulation of
2 million, so is trying to get all the bugs worked out of her
website before the crowds hit it. Here is her site.

Weather Report

We interrupt these pressed flower pictures to give you
a weather update! Yes, here it is on October 12! I just
stuck the camera out the window of the vehicle on the
way home this morning! Here's one from the home place...

and another one...

The forecast is for 50 degrees again in a few days, so this won't last long. It was in the 30's today.

Here's the Monday a.m. update, still lightly snowing...

Framed prairie roses

Here's a prairie rose collage. The white/cream
flowers in the top pane are chokecherry blossoms.

This frame has embossed rose leaves, so it
wasn't hard to decide what should go
in this frame!

Autumn

We've had some beautiful Indian summer days recently.
I am proving the truth of the statement: "the ultimate motivation
is a deadline"!! Craft fairs are coming up quickly, the first one on
our schedule is October 17-18. I had a busy weekend working on
flower projects. I'll try to post a few completed projects soon.

Orange Cosmos!

I grew a few orange cosmos again this year. Here
are a few simple designs. I like them on a
black background.
