'Tis the season for non-stop flower pressing!

Numerous flowers are blooming right now, starting with roses...

And on to wild gaillardia....

along with prairie smoke still going strong.

June Roses

The wild roses are just getting started. These are the first ones I found in our pasture. It should be an excellent season for roses, with the recent rains.

Blue eyed grass

These bloom in response to moisture!

They are great for pressing.

Back in Production

I have a deadline approaching, time to start creating!

The above frames have a 4 x 6 inside opening.

These frames have a 2 x 3 opening.

Beautiful Bountiful Bluebells

The bluebells this year are the best I have seen for a while.

It's been fun to just pick a big bag full.

I have a LOT of pressing ahead of me tonight!

Promises of Posies

My friend Sue asked today when prairie smoke starts blooming. On my trek through the pasture this afternoon, I decided to check the usual spots, and this is what I found.

The prairie smoke starts out in this redbud form.

I was really looking for bluebells, and finally had success in the search!

The bluebells are just getting started, and with the recent moisture it is looking promising for a generous amount of blooms. A few cold nights are forecast this week, and they might be at a vulnerable stage, but they are heartier than one might think.

Spring!

The crocuses are at their peak right now.

We have a few patches of snow left on the north side of the trees.

New frames, Part 2

Here's yet another purse frame.

These frames were on clearance. I just bought one on my first trip, to see how it would work with a design. So, this will be for the people who really like purple! I have 2 or 3 more of these frames.

And last is this little gem. The openings are 2" x 3."

New Frames, Part 1

It's been stimulating to have a couple of frame buying trips lately.

I like to find unique frames.

I'm thinking I might attach this info about the bone frame on the back.

Here's another fun little frame. I might get started designing again!

These past weeks have been taken up with craft fairs. By the time we finish one, it's time to get ready for the next one. The season is going well so far. Our local fair is this Saturday. I have been playing with a welcome sign. The dimensions are about 10 x 20.
