Home town "spring" bazaar

We had a good day at our spring craft bazaar in our little town. A spring storm came through so there are some snowflakes showing in front of the yellow "spring bazaar" banner. If you click on the picture to enlarge, you can see it was snowing!

"Flower Song"

It's fun to find sheet music to match my flowers! The flowers in this design are: pansies, wild roses, chokecherry blossoms, delphiniums, and some wild grasses and rose leaves to round out the design.

This is a larger frame, with outside dimensions of 14 inches by 17 inches. The design space inside the mat is 8 inches by 10 inches.

Prairie rose on music

These miniature frames have an inside opening of 2 inches by 3 inches.

Prairie Smoke with saying

Prairie smoke is one of my favorites. (Some people know this as "grandpa's whiskers.") You will no doubt be seeing many more of these flowers on this site!

The frame is handcrafted (not by me, however!) from weathered barnwood. The inside opening is 5 inches by 7 inches.

Horizontal flower collage with lavendar mat

The flowers in the first and last openings are delphiniums. In the middle frame are pansies and statice.

A couple of collage frames

Photo credits on these collages go to my sister and my niece. There are some deserted little towns close to us that interest photographers! If you click to enlarge the second collage, you can see the old country church outlined by the pump in the bottom photo. Flowers used in the arrangement are: prairie rose, sunflower, chokecherry blossom, Golden Alexanders, and leaves from roses and silver leaf scurf pea.

Pansies in Pansy Frame!

These frames have embossed pansies and butterflies all around the edge, so of course they caught my eye on a recent frame buying trip. The frame has a bit of a gold tint. The purple flower used around the edge is lobelia. The inside opening on this frame is 4 inches by 4 inches.

Here's a pretty little rose picture:

Spring is here!

Spring is here, at least by the calendar, and I am finally ready to start this journal for "Amy's Pressed Flowers." Last weekend was our first craft fair of the season, and it went well. This is a weekend off to replenish inventory. We plan 2 more craft fairs before the spring planting and pressing begins.
